Level 1: Using AI effectively in your work
A 2-day hands-on training for knowledge workers. Maximum 12 participants. You prepare on Campus with Henrik before day 1, and during the course you set up your own AI agent. After the course, a 30-day challenge and a personal coaching session (45 min.) with an Agile Academy Ambassador support the transfer into your working life.
The six modules build on each other: from understanding the AI shift, through the craft of effective prompting, to setting up your own AI agent and applying it to concrete tasks in your daily work.
1. The AI Shift: What Is Actually Changing
AI is not a technology trend. It fundamentally changes how knowledge work functions: what we handle ourselves, what we can delegate, and what truly valuable human work looks like.
Learn the difference between augmentation (AI amplifies your work) and automation (AI takes over tasks).
Understand why the current window for building personal AI competence matters so much, and why waiting is an active decision with consequences.
2. How AI Works: What You Need to Know in Practice
You do not need to study computer science to use AI well. But a basic understanding of how language models work makes you a far more effective user.
Understand how Large Language Models (LLMs) work: no maths, no code.
Learn the key weaknesses of AI systems: hallucinations, sycophancy (AI agrees with you even when you are wrong), Jagged Intelligence (uneven strengths: brilliant in some areas, surprisingly weak in others), and inconsistency.
Discover what AI can do beyond text: images, voice, documents, and data. Find out which tasks in your work can benefit from this.
Explore which AI tools are truly relevant, what distinguishes them, and how to choose the right ones for your work.
3. From Prompt to Result: AI Output That Delivers
The quality of AI output does not depend on the AI. It depends on how you communicate with it. Prompting is a skill that can be learned.
Learn the three factors that determine the quality of AI results, and practise effective prompting techniques directly on your own tasks.
Develop a critical eye for AI output: when can you trust it, when should you question it, and how do you spot errors before they become costly?
4. Personal AI Agents: Your Productivity Upgrade
An AI agent is more than a chatbot. It knows your context, follows your rules, and handles clearly defined tasks: repeatedly, consistently, without needing an explanation every time.
Learn what AI agents can (and cannot) do, and where your personal productivity sweet spot lies.
During the course you set up your own agent: tailored to a specific, recurring task from your actual work. Not a contrived example, but an agent you can put to work productively straight away.
5. AI in Your Working Life: Concrete Application in Your Work
Theory is useful. Practice is better. In this module you bring AI into your real work tasks.
Three heuristics help you identify the right tasks:
- Boring as Signal: Recurring, structured, predictable? A good candidate for AI or your own agent.
- Smart Intern Test: Could a motivated intern handle this with clear instructions? Then AI can too.
- Time-Use Matrix: Done frequently but a poor use of your time? That is exactly where AI comes in.
Learn to break down complex tasks so AI can be meaningfully involved. Build workflows that integrate AI as a reliable part of your work: no longer an experiment, but the standard.
6. Beyond Yourself: AI in Team and Organisation
Personal AI competence is the first step. The next: thinking about AI at the team level.
Understand how AI competence extends to teams and what opportunities and challenges this creates. Learn which data protection and security questions you need to know about.
And: how do you become the AI thought leader in your immediate environment, without a mandate and without a job title?
Bring Your Own Ideas & Questions

Level 2: Building AI Agents for Your Team
Prerequisites
Completion of Level 1 (or equivalent). Participants should be using AI regularly in their daily work before starting Level 2.
Note
Level 2 is currently in development. Dates and details will be published shortly.
Level 1 built understanding. Level 2 builds execution capability. You move from personal AI use to systematically identifying, designing, building, and iterating AI agents that work for your team and your organisation.
The training is modular, with time to iterate between sessions. Every participant finishes the programme with a production-ready agent for a real use case from their own work, an evaluation suite, a security review, and a business case to pitch to their manager.
A coaching session (45 min.) with an Agile Academy Ambassador supports the transfer after the course.
1. From Personal Use to Organisational Agents
Personal AI tools have limits. Recognise where those limits are: with recurring tasks, shared workflows, multiple stakeholders, integration with business systems, and the need for transparency and human oversight.
Understand what an organisational agent platform offers that personal AI tools cannot: triggers, shared access, integrations, security layers, and audit trails.
Explore concrete use cases from different business functions: Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, and Product.
2. Identifying and Defining Agents Worth Building
Not every task is suited for an agent. Learn to identify and prioritise the right tasks systematically.
Apply structured methods:
- Time-Use Matrix: Frequency x value, to prioritise tasks with high automation potential.
- Eight Agent Task Categories: Research, Evaluation, Review, Writing, Coordination, Support, Processing, Orchestration.
- Hierarchical Task Analysis: Break a role into tasks and subtasks, then filter for agent suitability.
Work with the Agent Design Canvas, the central tool of this course: purpose, triggers, inputs, knowledge, capabilities, outputs, and success metrics clearly defined.
Write an agent case pitch that is clear and compelling for managers. Not a technical specification, but something that reads like a job description.
3. Building and Iterating Agents
Agents are not built once and then finished. First versions typically reach around 60% quality. Iteration is not a weakness — it is the principle.
Agents are developed in phases: from idea through design, prototype, and pilot to production. You also use AI to generate the first draft of the agent's instructions, then refine iteratively.
Design the right level of human involvement: human-on-the-loop, human-in-the-loop, or human-out-of-the-loop, calibrated to the risk and impact of the agent's actions.
Create an evaluation suite for your agent and use it to track improvements across iterations.
4. Using Agent Capabilities Effectively
An agent is only as good as its design. Learn to use the full capabilities of agent platforms deliberately.
Understand the different activation modes:
- interactive (on demand)
- event-driven (e.g. triggered by an incoming email)
- scheduled (e.g. every Monday automatically)
- Context management: Provide relevant information deliberately, minimise noise, keep conversations clean.
- Model selection: Understand the trade-off between capability and cost, and decide accordingly.
Learn advanced agent skills:
- Semantic search: Find relevant information across large document sets without loading everything into context.
- Sub-agent delegation: Parallelise tasks, isolate context, and optimise cost by having specialised agents collaborate.
- Code execution: Run calculations deterministically instead of letting the model estimate, to avoid hallucinations on numbers.
5. Making Agents Safe
An agent with access to real systems and data needs appropriate safeguards. Security is not an afterthought — it is a design principle.
Apply the Security Onion model with protection on four layers:
- User level: access controls, credential management
- Agent level: instruction guardrails, capability restrictions
- Platform level: automated security review
- LLM level: model safety training
Understand what prompt injection is and how malicious instructions can be hidden in emails, documents, or other data sources. Learn effective countermeasures.
Make informed data protection decisions: data scope, storage location, least-privilege access, and blast radius for write actions.
6. Scaling and Sustaining Agent Use
A well-built agent is not a finished project. It is the start of an evolving system.
Design scenarios in which multiple agents collaborate. One agent draws on another's expertise, delegates subtasks, or builds on its outputs. That is more effective than a single monolithic agent.
Create a concrete plan for sustainable development: with regular iteration rhythms, stakeholder communication, and a roadmap for further agent development in your organisation.
