Sohrab Salimi

Sohrab Salimi is a visionary voice in agile leadership and organizational transformation.

Primarily an entrepreneur and thus a practitioner rather than a theorist, he is driven by the goal of improving products and services and the processes behind them. For more than 20 years, he has helped leaders rethink how companies build products, empower teams, and adapt to a rapidly changing world. His mission is to turn agility into real business impact.

As the founder and CEO of Agile Academy, Sohrab has trained more than 10,000 participants worldwide and worked with organizations of all sizes—from startups to Fortune 500s. He guides them through strategic change with clarity and courage, combining deep agile expertise, boardroom-level experience, and the mindset of a coach.

His global work with large and small organizations across industries such as pharma, medtech, automotive, IT, telecom, and financial services enriches his trainings. This makes his live and online courses a blend of strategic insights and practical approaches that resonate from the boardroom and C-suite to development teams. Among his long-term clients are Roche, MAN Truck & Bus, Trivago, Bosch, and Allianz.

In addition to his live trainings, online courses, in-house programs, and consulting work, Sohrab hosts the Agile Insights Conversations, where he interviews globally renowned authors, thought leaders, and experts on agile topics. Through these conversations and his translations of influential agile literature into German, he challenges conventional thinking and sparks new perspectives. His translation work includes Product Mastery and Scrum Mastery by Geoff Watts, and he is currently preparing Beyond Budgeting (Bjarte Bogsness) and Radical Focus (Christina Wodtke) for the German market.

Sohrab lives in Cologne with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys sports, reading, cooking, singing, and traveling—pursuits that reflect his passion for lifelong learning and often inspire the analogies he uses in his courses.
