Agenda of the Business Agility Coaching Course (Agile Coaching Level 1)
Prerequisites
This course is not an introduction to agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban. To get the most out of it, you should already be familiar with at least one team-level framework and one scaling approach.
In this three-day Business Agility Coaching training, you will gain in depth knowledge and essential coaching skills to help organizations improve their agility beyond team-level framework. Core learning objectives include:
1. Introduction to Organizations & Their Frameworks
Before coaching change, understand what you're changing.
In this first module, you'll explore what makes organizations function effectively, from their purpose to their inner structures. We’ll look at how organizations are designed to serve fundamental needs and how key elements like vision, mission, and strategy shape direction and decision-making.
You’ll learn to distinguish between the business model (how value is created) and the operating model (how that value is delivered), while also gaining insights into steering models, the systems organizations use to adapt and make decisions in an ever-changing environment. This foundational understanding sets the stage for applying agility at an organizational level.

2. Business Agility and How to Measure What Matters
Agility must be visible. How do you know if an organization is truly agile?
This module focuses on connecting business agility to measurable outcomes. You'll learn to identify key financial and operational metrics that reflect an organization’s health and performance. We’ll explore indicators related to the market, customer engagement, and workforce dynamics and discuss how these metrics can signal the presence or absence of agility.
You'll also gain a clearer understanding of how business agility is defined and observed in practice, as well as what factors support or hinder its development across an organization. This module helps you link agile ways of working to real, tangible business results.

3. Constraints in Organizational Design
Learn to work with, not against, the boundaries of business.
Organizational agility doesn't happen in a vacuum. It’s shaped by the structures and constraints within which companies operate. In this module, you'll explore the external forces, such as board liability, compliance requirements, and quality standards, and internal drivers like efficiency and scaling that influence how organizations are designed
Rather than seeing these constraints as obstacles, this module invites you to understand them as defining elements of the organizational landscape and understand the structural realities that shape organizations so you can work with them, not against them.

4. Coaching That Makes a Difference
Coaching is not about telling people what to do, it’s about enabling transformation.
Effective coaching doesn’t just happen, it’s built on a foundation of clarity, ethics, and reflection. This session explores what it takes to create a coaching culture that lasts and how to ensure your coaching makes a meaningful difference at every level: for the individual, the team, and the organization.
Also, what does high-quality coaching look like in an agile, fast-paced environment? For that you will be reviewing the core competencies and ethical foundations of professional coaching as defined by the International Coaching Federation.

5. Coaching That’s Solution Focused and Practical
Business coaching is not life coaching in a corporate setting. It has its own rules.
Business coaching requires a distinct mindset and approach, one that balances organizational objectives with individual growth. This session introduces the Solution-Focused Coaching Approach, an effective, pragmatic way of working that fits seamlessly into complex organizational environments. Rather than dwelling on problems or root causes, this approach emphasizes what’s already working, what clients want instead, and how to move toward those outcomes with clarity and purpose.
In this final module, you'll also explore what sets business coaching apart from other coaching forms, such as life coaching, and how to create effective coaching agreements that reflect the complexity of professional environments.
By deepening your understanding of how coaching aligns with agile values and business realities, you’ll be better equipped to navigate tensions, support decision-makers, and contribute meaningfully to an organization’s ability to adapt and evolve.

Certification for Teams & Companies
Business Agility Coaching as In-House Training
Opting for an in-house Business Agility Coaching course, especially for groups of 8 or more, offers distinct advantages. Training can be customized to fit your organization's specific context and challenges, promoting team alignment and practical application of business agility and coaching principles. An in-house training provides a private setting for open discussions about your organization's journey towards greater agility.
In-house training is typically more cost-effective per employee than public courses, while also saving on external expenses e.g. travel and accommodation. Additionally, this focused training helps embed coaching skills and an understanding of organizational frameworks directly within your teams.
In summary, in-house courses offer beneficial customization, confidentiality, cost savings and targeted skill development in business agility coaching.
Business Agility Coaching with Volume Discount
Agile Academy offers volume discounts for public Business Agility Coaching training which allow our clients to achieve significant cost savings. When multiple team members enroll (minimum 3), volume discounts are applied, making large-scale training more economical.
Compared to an in-house training these discounts come with flexibility. Team members can choose different training dates to suit their schedules, maintaining business continuity while developing crucial business agility coaching skills.
In essence, volume discounts offer a more cost-efficient solution for quality Business Agility Coaching training, blending substantial savings with scheduling convenience, making it an attractive choice for organizations striving to empower their experienced agilists.
Contact us with your special requirements and we are sure to offer you a custom, tailor-made solution for your training needs.
