Mark Summers

Mark Summers believes that happiness is the foundation of high performance. With decades of experience, he has dedicated his career to transforming the Agile coaching profession and enabling people, teams, and organisations to thrive.

As one of the early Agile Coaches in the UK, Mark has been instrumental in establishing coaching standards and communities of practice. He co-created the Agile Coaching Growth Wheel, a reflective tool used globally to support coach development and maturity. Mark regularly collaborates with professional bodies, supports agile retreats, and facilitates spaces for agile practitioners to learn, grow, and connect.

His training style is experiential, engaging, and deeply human. He draws from methods such as “Training from the Back of the Room” (TBR), and complements learning with storytelling and gamification, turning training into lasting, transformational experiences.

Beyond training, Mark consults on enterprise agility, helping organisations navigate complexity, foster cross-functional collaboration, and deliver sustainable value. He focuses on breaking down silos and promoting adaptability at all levels.

Mark believes the future belongs to self-organising, self-motivated teams led by coaches rather than traditional managers. He is a champion for decentralised leadership and human-centric organisations.
