Klaus Bucka-Lassen
After completing his master’s degree in computer science in 1996, Klaus began a dynamic career spanning roles as a developer, architect, project manager, entrepreneur, trainer, and coach. His work has taken him across Europe, North America, and Australia, engaging with companies of all sizes and across industries including finance, insurance, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, IT, retail, manufacturing, and toys.
His journey with iterative development started even earlier—in 1991—with rapid prototyping, planting the seed for his lifelong advocacy for feedback-rich, agile processes. But it was discovering Scrum that truly shaped his professional focus. Today, Klaus is a Fellow Scrum Trainer at Scrum Inc. and has co-trained with Jeff Sutherland—the co-creator of Scrum—22 times, more than anyone else worldwide.
Known for his radical candor, Klaus is a direct and honest communicator who challenges teams and leaders alike to think deeply, especially by asking the most overlooked yet powerful question: “Why?” His coaching style encourages reflection, clarity, and transformation at all levels of an organization.
Klaus has helped many major organizations build the mindset, skills, and systems needed to thrive in complexity. His approach combines empathy with clear direction, grounded in decades of experience and a belief in human potential.
Outside of work, Klaus is an adventurer at heart. He enjoys flying planes, riding motorcycles, skiing, playing golf, and exploring the globe. While his Formula 3 racing license may have expired, his appetite for new challenges certainly has not.
