How is the course going?
The training makes use of modern training techniques that rely on the participants’ involvement and the adequate combination of theory, practice, and open space which allows for the discussion of real-life situations brought by the participants.
We'll work on the following topics:
- The underlying principles and values of Lean Thinking and Agile that make Scrum work.
- How to get a Scrum project started, from product vision to Product Backlog.
- The Scrum roles and responsibilities and how to map them to your existing organization.
- The Scrum meetings and ceremonies and how to facilitate them so they go well.
- Agile Estimating and Planning: how to plan and keep track of progress in your Scrum project.
- Visual Management: how to empower self-organizing teams while creating transparency and trust.
- Technical practices: what you need to know about developing software in an Agile way, and why it matters.
- Advanced topics: how to scale Scrum, do Scrum with offshore and extend Scrum beyond your team.
- Beyond the CSM: how to continue your education and experience after this initial training.
The course also foresees open space for discussing your real-life situations and helping you out.
Trainer
Christian Zander is a freelance Agile Coach and Certified Scrum Trainer® of the Scrum Alliance®. He has been helping people, teams, and companies to explore their potentials and to embrace the changes of market and environment as opportunities for personal and/or entrepreneurial growth since 2009.
How to get certified?
After successfully completing this course, participants will be entitled to take the online exam to obtain the Certified ScrumMaster certification from the Scrum Alliance, plus a two-year paid membership.
You can claim 24 SEU's from the Scrum Alliance®️.
What can I do for preparation?
Each participant will receive an e-mail with information for preparation prior to the training. Please expect about 30 to 120 minutes of preparation time.
You can also start right away with an excellent video from Henrik Kniberg from Sweden: “Agile Product Ownership in a Nutshell”. You should als be familiar with the Scrum Guide, written by the authors of Scrum, Dr. Jeff Sutherland and Ken Schwaber.
Please take notes regarding your questions, so we can address them during the training!
