What are SEUs and an active Scrum Alliance membership?

All certifications through the Scrum Alliance (e.g. Certified Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Product Owner Trainings) include a two-year active membership with the Scrum Alliance and entitle to participate in various events as well as to use many resources on their website. The goal is to actively engage with what is learned and improve Scrum skills.
The Scrum Education Units are a reward for this active transformation of everyday working methods. Each hour spent on Scrum can be converted into an SEU to extend active membership in Scrum Alliance for 2 years at a time.

What does the active membership with Scrum Alliance mean?

The goal of Scrum Alliance is to transform the way we work. That's why, in addition to certified training, it offers a variety of resources for ongoing education. These are videos, articles, books, and a variety of free and paid premium events around the world.
The worldwide community thus offers many opportunities to collect the necessary SEUs to continue to take advantage of this very community.

How many SEUs do I need in two years?

The number of SEUs depends on the certification. These range from 10 to 40 SEUs. The ratio of SEUs to time invested is 1:1, meaning that one hour of continuing education is one SEO or one Scrum Education Unit.

You can add SEUs to your Scrum Alliance profile at any time and collect them there.
